When it comes to accessories, I usually say do whatever you want.

However, for me personally - I have a few guidelines that I like to follow.

It’s been said a million times that you shouldn’t wear two or more metals at once. I think this is bull.

For me, I like to stick to just silver and gold or gold and rose gold, but as long as it’s with the right outfit, anyone can rock it.

That leads me into how to style jewellery.

The beauty of a classic, simple outfit like a pair of black jeans with a white turtleneck or a solid colour singlet top with a plain white skirt, is that anything goes.

Patterns and jewellery are hard to navigate but a safety net for any piece of jewellery is a plain outfit.

With your hair up and a clean, fitting outfit, there are endless possibilities. It makes room for long, interesting earrings and layering of necklaces or bracelets.

I’ve heard it said that the metal that matches you is determined by your veins, however I think jewellery is one thing in fashion that you can play with as much as you want.

You’ll see from the images attached that my taste in jewellery is gold, simple and interesting.

Lastly, know your time and place. Jewellery can really make or break an outfit based on the setting. I'm all for "if you've got it, flaunt it", but sometimes toned down is the way to go.

But most importantly, just wear what makes you feel confident.
